Firstly I have noticed that people lately are losing the exuberence and passion they once had and 'growing up'.
Being grown up does not mean you lose interest in your social scene,in fact the opposite.I have a mature outlook on life,but still can enjoy myself and entertain,by acting juvenile.It a tightrope,but I walk it..lol.
Someone made a comment about doing things selflessly for the scene.That is untrue.Before I actually started making any passable living from doing what I do,I did it to see people have a good night.It means a hell of a lot when people tell me they had an ace night,and when I see people like Big Joe,Little Joe,Nat and Jam so obviously getting off on it all that brings a big smile to my face.Just like that ultra violent pit to Angel Of Death onwednesday.

Percy made a comment about people leaving Grimsby as soon as possible,and I am not digging at him here at all,but that is a crock of shit.

A lot of people who go to uni go because Grimsby doesn't offer much in the way of further education,unless you are studying microbiology or something.Music and Art is better catered for at other unis,that is why people move all over the place.
I hate it when people moan about how shit Grimsby is.Heres the news EVERYwhere is just as shit.Nothing is perfect and life deals bad hands all the time life with it and enjoy what you have.
Nottingham is viewed by loads of gy people as the mecca for all things rock.Bullshit.Nottingham has good gigs and little else.It's full of whiny ex gy people huddled together still moaning abouy grimsby,refusing to mingle with others.And the clubs in Nottingham are lame.Sheffield is better.Even Leeds.just.

Ants is absolutely right. Why do people whinge about GY?

I've lived all over, including London and Manchester and I'll always come home.

I have some great friends here and there are (a few) great places.

Everywhere you go you'll come across the same problems you have here. But you may as well have those problems where you at least know some good people to help you through (and get pissed up with).

I lived in Essex (yeah, i've heard all the jokes) for a bit and there was nothing there. It was just very expensive pubs serving bleached blonde bimbos and blokes who just wanted to talk about cars and designer drugs. Be thankful you don't live somewhere like that.
